AmeriPlan Corporation’s Holiday Season Of Giving

Our AmeriPlan Family has once again answered the needs of our community, during our  2014 Holiday Season of Giving.

Children's Medical CenterThe season started with our 2nd annual food drive for the North Texas Food Bank to which were able to give 323lb of food. The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit relief organization, and the largest North Texas charity. Each day, the North Texas Food Bank provides access to 170,000 meals for hungry children, seniors and families through a network of more than 1,000 programs and 262 Partner Agencies. NTFB website »

Children's Medical CenterThis is also our second year of  “The Ethan Project” which was started in memory of “Ethan Sanchez” the son of Customer Service Supervisor Sonia Montano.   We lost Ethan to cancer in November of 2013. The “Ethan Project” helps the children of MD Anderson and Children’s of Dallas cancer units. This year each child will receive a backpack filled with Holiday Love.

This year we added 2 additional charities to our 2014 Season of Giving.

Heritage Manor, of Plano, TX,  is an skilled nursing facility for Seniors who are young at heart. Donations included blankets, games, puzzles, socks and some beautiful crocheted hats.  Many seniors are left alone during the holidays and we hope that our gifts of love will bring them some comfort in knowing that they haven’t been forgotten.

Of course, we had to assist our four legged friends. So we held our first annual pet drive which all our pet lovers just had an grand time buying food to treats to toys, our pet lovers just lost their minds when shopping for our furry friends. These donations will be made to the DFW Rescue Me a foster based rescue group in the Dallas area.  They launched Voices for Justice after a four-month-old pit bull puppy was found having suffered terrible abuse.  Justice, as he became known, made national news and the response and public outcry demanding justice for Justice was beyond belief.  Although Justice succumbed to his injuries, DFW Rescue Me created the Justice fund to ensure all dogs that are the victims of abuse or neglect in the city of Dallas receive necessary medical care and the opportunity to know the kindness of the human hand that they so deserve. Justice will ensure they have a second leash on life.

We want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and we hope that you find it in your heart, this season and the seasons to come, to help your community.
