What is a brand?

A brand is the essence of one’s own unique story. This is as true for personal branding as it is for business branding. The key, though, is reaching down and pulling out the authentic, unique “you.”

What can you be doing to get Googled (and recognized)?

Be present on social media
Pick a couple of social platforms you can commit to and stick to them! This means posting (and responding) at least a couple times a week – if not a day.

Pick your branding words
If someone asked you to describe your brand in 3 words, what would they be? Maybe: cheery, professional, animated. Or: authentic, versatile, modern. Make sure these relate back to your unique story – it keeps you on track for #3…

Be consistent
After picking your words, make sure to stick to them – resulting in your profile, web site, and social updates all being in sync. This can also mean creating a communication schedule, email templates, etc. that you can commit to.
