Get In The Game And Get Your Social Network Skills In Order!

If you are a Corporate, an IBO, or in business of any kind… you need to be in the social marketing game!

Here are some questions you need to ask yourself:

1. What is my purpose for a social network page?
2. What social network platform will work best for me?
3. What is the message I want to convey to my followers?
4. Who do I want to reach in my social network media?

Below are some answers to standard social network questions.

1. The main purpose for any business having a social network outlet is to engage and provide information about the business you are in. Social Network is the wave of the future as millions of people, young and old, are using some type of social network outlet in every day life. Your purpose is to reach and deliver your business message using your social network media.

2. There are many social network outlets available, so many it is overwhelming. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube are just some of the top social networks commonly used in today’s business world.

• Facebook, being one of the most common, is easy and free to create with just an email. Setting up a business Facebook does take a few steps, and requires some thought. Take a little time and google How to step up a Facebook Personal Page, and then, How to Create a Business or Fan Page. For your business, you need a business or fan page… you DO NOT want to use a personal Facebook page for your business.

• Twitter is another popular outlet which is also free and easy to set up, but is limited to the allowed content per tweet. Google and find out How to set up a Twitter account. If you have a Facebook page, you can easily set up to directly have your Facebook postings show up on your twitter page.

• Instagram is very popular with the younger generation as it is use mainly to share a quick photo and brief copy to their followers. It is mainly used from your cell phone. Google How to set up an Instagram account.

• Pinterest is very popular with a wide range of age groups. This platform is based on categories such as; art, fashion, food, gadgets, entertainment and various other topics. It does require more thought to present your message but a good social tool to use. Like the most social networks, Pinterest is also a free outlet.

• YouTube is used quite often by many who are online. As a average user, YouTube allows anyone to view and share videos. You can also create a free YouTube Channel that allows you to upload videos that you create and can be easily shared, embed, or post on other social networks. A bit more on the technical and creative side, YouTube is a great way to get a visual message to possible prospects.

3. The message you want to deliver, using your business social network, should be short, simple and clear. The main point is to provide information about your business using keywords and a short sentence about your business. Always provide a click-able link back to your website or providing easy access contact info. Making it simple for the user to find or get more information about you or your business is the goal.

4. The intention of any business social network is to reach as many people as possible by building up followers in your social network. By providing quality information, postings, updates and being consistent is essential to building your social network outreach. The more followers you get, the better your message will be seen, read and shared. Sharing is with social network is all about.

More to come.
